Osmonds Transport & Planing Ltd is a private limited company formed in 2003 from the family partnership of Osmonds Transport established in 1975. The change of name better describes the core activity of the business which is to operate road planing machines, complimented by tippers, road sweepers and low loaders. Having gained a great deal of experience in moving loads up to 50 tonnes, this remains a specialised side of the business and we can also cater for smaller machinery with our various types of transporters and low-loaders.
Our experience in road planing began in 1990 when we operated a single 500C planer. We now operate a fleet of 9 machines ranging from the smallest Wirtgen W35 to the |

largest W2200 throughout the south east of England from Hampshire to Kent and Sussex to Hertfordshire including London. We are involved in many term maintenance contracts and can tackle large scale reconstruction projects such as the M2 widening in Kent in conjunction with the CSM joint venture. With our ever growing reputation, our client base has expanded to include the most highly respected and well known civil engineers as well as the smaller specialised contractors operating in the surfacing industry who demand consistently high quality works from their sub-contractors. We are active members of the Federation of Planing Contractors and wholly support their various initiatives in promoting a safer working environment. |
